USB device format fail.

It is a new drive that was procured , after using it for some time as PVR (ext4 fs) it starts showing “Unhandled sense code“ issue which fails the IO and also the Format.

We ran fsck.ext4 on this drive and it reported that every inode has garbage and the super -block is with bad Magic number.

/dev/sda1 was not cleanly unmounted, check forced.
Pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes
Deleted inode 42057 has zero dtime. Fix? yes

Inode 101205 seems to contain garbage. Clear? yes

Now we can no longer format this drive anymore.

Are your usb devices designed/manufactured by PNY ?
